A Summer of Inspiration: Unveiling My New Pirate Adventure

Dear Readers,

It is September already! Summer is almost over and with my daughter heading back to school in a few days I am going to miss spending everyday with her. On the positive side, I should have more time to focus on writing. I have the sequel to Even Gods Are Blind in progress but lately the main character from another work in progress has been clamouring for attention and demanding I continue her tale. So over the last few months, as we trailed our vintage caravan back and forth across Italy, I have been gathering inspiration for my upcoming magical pirate adventure. From the ancient ruins of Rome to the sun-drenched beaches of the Marche, Italy’s rich history and culture have infused my settings with a touch of the Mediterranean.

Yes, its AI, I know but I like to get an idea of my characters

Beyond Roman Mythology: A Global Tapestry

While my previous works drew heavily from Roman mythology, this new adventure takes me on a global journey. Inspired by the diverse cultures I encountered during my travels, I’m trying to weave elements of Saudi, Iranian and even Japanese mythology into the tapestry of my pirate world.

The Three Towers of San Marino and More

One captivating sight during my Italian adventure was the Three Towers of San Marino. These ancient fortresses, perched atop a mountain, evoked a sense of mystery and adventure that I will try to capture somewhere my pirate tale.

An All Female Pirate Crew, You Say?

Soraya, a child bride is traveling with her husband when pirates attack their vessel. Will she accept their offer to join their unusual family and pay the blood price or stay a prisoner with her abusive husband? I guess if she stays, I wont have much to write about! Add an all female crew, recruited from around the world and a touch of magic, I think it is going well so far!
